Registration for the Spring Semester of 2012 is now open. Please, use the Online Registration form to register.

Math Kangaroo 2012 Olympiad Information:

This will be our second year of hosting the Math Kangaroo Olympiad which will take place on March 15th 2012. Any student grade 1 and above is eligible to participate regardless of Westchester Math Lab enrollment. Students should be taking a test at their school grade level. The Olympiad is a 75 minute multiple choice test that will start at 4:30pm.

You can register directly at the Math Kangaroo website. Please, make sure to choose Westchester Math Lab (Dobbs Ferry) from the list of available centers. For your convenience, we can register your child(ren) ourselves if you mail us student(s) name(s) and a check for $20 made out to Westchester Math Lab. Registration ends December 31st!

New Courses and Events

  • Westchester Math Lab will now offer an English course for 4th and 5th graders. The course will be based on the Singapore English curriculum with a wide range of supplemental materials. We will focus on grammar; writing and reading comprehension.
  • In the coming school year, we'll be introducing a Math & Science class for 7th and 8th graders, where students will not only learn math but also its application to science. Multiple science concepts will be introduced and studied in relation to Mathematics. Students will be able to draw parallels between math and science and describe and explain scientific concepts in mathematical terms. A new and unique course available only to Westchester Math Lab students.

img/MathLabRuler.jpg Congratulations to Peter Velickovic- our 7th grade student, on his acceptance to
Johns Hopkins University CTY Summer Camp Program.
He will participate in Math and Computer science course called "Mathematical Modeling". In this course, students learn how to create mathematical models to represent and solve problems across a broad range of disciplines, including political sciences, economics, biology and physics.
